In 1984, we introduced the Softank.  We manufactured the Softank for solar and wood heating systems and sold them all over the world.

We have tweaked the design using new materials specifically for the Do-it-Yourselfer and are pleased to offer the Softank once again as a simple kit.

The Softank kit includes a high tensile strength outer bag, a high performance Heat Bank style liner, and a cover vapor barrier.  We also include directions for simple assembly.  You provide insulation and a couple hours labor.

At present, we are offering only one size - 200 gallons, which is a cylinder 46" in diameter and 4' high. This tank has 4" thick walls of polyioscyanurate foam (available at Home Depot, Lowe's, and most lumber yards).

You can increase the tank's storage capacity by using less foam.  Of course, this increases the Softank's heat loss.
